Hello, my name is Katie. : )
I have a love of learning, exploring, experiencing new things —and creating new experiences for others.
My history is in Motion Graphics, Art, and Computer Science. My projects have included motion, print, photography, and sound design, but the work I have always been excited about are my interactive projects. This lead me to complete a Master’s program at CIID in Denmark in 2012. Since then I have continued as an interaction designer, artist, researcher, innovator, and entrepreneur. Most of my work has centered around mobile apps in the startup world.
Playful, fun and experimental are areas I tend to gravitate towards. I love to think about technology’s role in the future. I also enjoy tackling big issues, have a big heart for people, and recognize the huge potential technology + human centered design has to solve problems.
I’ve worked on a wide variety of projects, some of them for: Velux, Volvo, Flightradar24, Cartoon Network, Crayola, Sesame Street Workshop, Intel, Salvation Army, Glamour Magazine.
I co-founded Seat4a, which designed, developed and launched the mobile app called Flying (sold).
